Maverick and Jax

I would like to introduce you all to my two favorite fluff balls, Jax and Maverick.  They are my brother and sister-in-law's dogs and for Christmas I decided to do portraits of them as gifts.  Maverick was done first, and Jax was finished earlier this week.

The inhabitants of the 100 Acre Wood are part of my first illustration of the year.  I did this project for my soon-to-be niece or nephew.  I wanted to make something that would fit in the room for the first few years, not just infancy.

Mermaids

Well, one mermaid really.  I did have this done yesterday but with my job and my husband coming home from an underway, I just didn't have time to post it.

So Norfolk loves mermaids.  I'm not sure why exactly but I will research it later and update the post with it.  That coupled with the fact that my husband and I are currently taking scuba diving classes helped me pick a mermaid for this week.  Hope you enjoy!

Happy Labor Day Weekend to those viewers in the United States!  This past week was busy and because of that, only very little drawing got done.  So all I really have to show is the next illustration in 'Tastes Like'.  And that is....

'Tastes Like' Series

I've been playing around with the idea of creating a series for a while now.  I have a few series planned out but I really wanted to start this one since summer is coming to an end.  This is the first of the series that I hope to continually post through out the rest of the month and then start up again around June, giving me a break from this and also having time to start other projects.
